Cello Lessons
I welcome interested students of all levels,
from absolute beginner to very advanced.
For me, the ideal age range is approximately 7 to 77.
With a desire to learn and a willingness to work,
most students have a good chance for success.
I define "success" as the ability to:
* produce a beautiful tone
* play in tune
* use technique that is efficient and graceful
* play musically and expressively
* sightread and play by ear
* enjoy sharing all of the above with an audience.

Some of my former students have gone on to Cleveland Institute of Music, Columbia, Juilliard, New England Conservatory, Oberlin, Princeton, UC Berkeley, University of Michigan, University of Texas/Austin, and Yale.
One former student, Christine Lamprea, won the 2013 Sphinx Competition senior division 1st place award.
